The name of the motorcyclist who was flown to the hospital following a vehicle accident has been released.
Donald Lee Jones, Jr., 43, of Fairmont, was ejected off his motorcycle after a head-on collision with another vehicle Thursday night. The driver of the other vehicle, Randall Richard Stebbins, was arrested following the accident for DUI.
Sgt. John Murphy with the Fairmont Police Department said the report from the accident said that when emergency personnel arrived on scene, Jones had an incapacitating injury. Murphy said when officers file an accident report, they are asked to check a box determining the injury status of those involved. In this case, it was checked as an incapacitating injury for Jones.
Murphy said the status of Jones has not been released.
The accident occurred around 9:40 p.m. at Fairmont Avenue and Seventh Street.
