Fairmont’s spring cycle to focus on center part of city

FAIRMONT — Several local roads will soon profit from the fourth cycle of the City of Fairmont’s paving project.

According to Public Works Director Ron Miller, paving is scheduled to begin the week of May 20.

City Manager Jay Rogers said the spring paving cycle will focus on the center area of the city.

Rogers also said the city anticipates more than $500,000 will be expended from the street maintenance fund during the spring paving cycle.

Since the implementation of the street maintenance fee in 2011, many of the city’s streets have benefited from the paving project.
