Eddie Jack Washington, the Florida resident charged with the 1974 triple first-degree Windmill Park homicides, will stand trial sometime during the June term of Marion County Circuit Court.
At Washington’s arraignment Monday before Circuit Judge Michael Aloi, defense attorney Neil Hamilton requested the continuance from the original May 15 trial date.
Aloi granted the continuance.
Washington, 59, was arrested Feb. 7 in Tampa on the murder charges. He was also indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit a felony, along with the triple murder charges.
He was also denied bail, both because of the seriousness of the offenses and being without funds to pay bail.
He was returned to the North Central Regional Jail.
