Hundreds of middle school students left the Technology Park Research Center with a newfound appreciation for science after attending NASA’s Independent Verification and Validation Program’s annual event, “Day in the Park,” on Wednesday.
NASA IV&V collaborated with the West Virginia High Tech Consortium Foundation to organize the event for the 13th year in a row.
“Our NASA IV&V program outreach team strives to increase student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM),” Jess White, education specialist for NASA, said.
