Fairmont’s fall paving cycle is moving along according to plan.
At Tuesday’s Fairmont City Council meeting, City Manager Jay Rogers said paving in the downtown area was completed last week. On Tuesday, streets located on West Side started to receive their fresh coat of asphalt as well.
“There are a lot of areas out there that suffered damage from the floods back in 2011,” Rogers said. “There’s going to be some welcomed paving in that area.”
Rogers also said that the old armory lot behind Frey Home for Funerals was paved Tuesday.
