Students at Barrackville Elementary School are using toys they play with outside the classroom as learning tools inside the classroom.
Shelia Toth, a teacher at the school, received WEDO LEGO kits from NASA to teach her second-graders about science and how to be problem solvers.
“My students in my class love LEGOs,” Toth said. “This allows them to be creative, and I’ve incorporated science into the lesson.”
The kits teach the students how to build a creation with LEGOs, then they hook what they’ve built into the computer, which then turns their creation into a moving object.
