Hunger in Marion County is a year-round issue.
Food pantries get the majority of their donations around the holidays, which can make it a struggle to get through the rest of the year. Some local pantries are feeling the pinch as the shelves get emptier, but the need doesn’t decrease.
The National Association of Letter Carriers is collecting for its annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Saturday and will help most of Marion County’s food pantries keep feeding the hungry.
