Attorney’s law license is suspended

FAIRMONT — The law license of a Marion County attorney has been suspended for 18 months for breach of contract, ordered by the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.

Michael F. Niggemyer may not practice law in West Virginia for the next year and a half, the Office of Disciplinary Counsel decided on March 7.

This is in response, according to the court, to a civil action filed July 19, 2011, in Marion County Magistrate Court by a Marion County woman who had paid Niggemyer a $2,500 retainer fee in her divorce proceedings in November 2010.
