Second arrest made in shooting incident

FAIRMONT — The Fairmont Police Department has made a second arrest for an alleged shooting on Emerson Street June 27.

Jesten Tyler Rice, 19, of 1106 Field St., Fairmont, was arrested Thursday and charged with four counts of accomplice to wanton endangerment. Joshua Tyler Cline, also of Fairmont, had been previously arrested and charged with four counts of wanton endangerment.

According to criminal complaints, Cline engaged in an altercation with another individual at a residence on Emerson Street. After Fairmont police arrived on scene and reportedly separated participants, Rice allegedly volunteered to drive Cline home, and they were seen leaving.

Police were dispatched back to the scene about 50 minutes when dispatch logs indicate “shots fired.”
