White Hall council did not approve an ordinance that would raise municipal fees to fund fire, police and the construction of a public safety building.
During Monday’s meeting, council decided to table the second reading of an ordinance that would raise municipal fees for residental and commercial property.
If the ordinance passes, it would replace the current ordinance.
Jesse Corley, mayor of White Hall, said the increase would affect commercial properties.
He said the current ordinance has a $35 flat rate a month for residential.
