Horton helps Polar Bears get to title game

FAIRMONT — Fairmont Senior High School’s Travon Horton had a week to remember during the Polar Bears’ state championship run.

In the games leading up to the state championship, Horton drilled shot after shot.

Against Scott, Horton tallied 17 points; he scored another 19 against Bridgeport.

Although the Polar Bears lost in the Class AA State Championship game, Horton helped spark the team’s offense, scoring 40 points in three games.

For his efforts, Horton is the latest Times West Virginian Multi-Media Good Sports Player of the Week.
