Charles Miller

Charles Wayne Miller, 56, of Colfax Community passed away on Sunday (Sept. 30, 2007) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born at St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Sept. 7, 1951, a son of the later Bernard J. and Effie Mae Dent Miller.

Charles was currently employed in the shipping department of Ruskin Manufacturing. He graduated from Fairmont Senior High School. He had enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandra Gable Miller; a son, Craig Emery of Fairmont; a daughter, Cheryl Chrislip of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, David Chrislip and Tanner Chrislip; a brother, Dwayne A. Miller and his wife Rebecca of Fairmont; two sisters, Darlene Yost and her husband Junior of Benson, N.C., and Alma Jean Anderson and her husband Richard of Athens, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Miller of Lansing, Ohio, and Nola Jackson and her daughter Jackie Jackson Ford of Gerrardstown; and 12 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-lawn, Elmer Miller and Richard Miller and his wife Elizabeth and two sisters, Ruth Miller and Evelyn Miller.

Friends may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Tuesday from 1 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home with Dr. Earl Klein officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
