She was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Fairmont a daughter of the late Gayzelle and Shady Rowan Oliver.Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel (Buster) Thomas Vincent who passed away on Nov. 3, 1991. Gladys and Buster were married for 51 1/2 years.She graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1942. She was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother. Her family, whom she loved very much, was her life, and she so enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them.Gladys was the oldest member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7048 and a life-time member of the Marion County Senior Citizen Center. He preceded her in death in December of 1991. She had formerly been a member of the Salvation Army Church, where she was very active and really enjoyed helping others. She later joined the Trinity Assembly of God Church. She loved reading, especially her Bible, listening to and singing gospel music, sitting on her swing on the front porch, working word puzzles, her cats and angels and especially her grand babies.
