Mary Elizabeth Hamilton, 81, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday (April 19, 2013) at her residence.
She was born July 13, 1931, in Grafton, a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Laura E. Lough Shroyer.
Mrs. Hamilton was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School, as well as a graduate of Fairmont State College with a double major in psychology and sociology. She worked with Family Services in Fairmont as a secretary for more than 15 years and later as the receptionist for Dr. Warren Wysner, Optometrist.
Mickey also babysat several local children including the Nagowski family throughout the years. She adored children and pets, and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Buffington of Frankford, Del.; grandchildren, Lauren Adams of Greenwood, Del., and Danton Hardman Annapolis, Md.; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brady Adams.

Mrs. Hamilton’s family has entrusted Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, with her arrangements. Cremation services will take place, and a memorial service will be held privately.
