Donald B. Morgan, 72, of North Canton, Ohio passed away Monday (Jan. 6, 2014) at Mercy Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born in Fairmont on Jan. 18, 1941, to the late Raymond and Myrtle (Scott) Morgan.
He spent his life playing music and entertaining people everywhere from the West Coast to the East Coast and then finally settling down in North Canton, Ohio, after meeting the love of his live for the past 23 years, Ms. Josephine Johnson. She actually tamed “The Don” and he loved every minute of it. He was most happy just mowing grass, feeding squirrels, taking care of the fish in their backyard pond, and living on Jo’s great cooking.
Donald is survived by his son, Donald B. (Suzanne) Morgan II; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Compton, of Durango, Colo., and Jean Hartley, and Linda Carpenter; brother Raymond Morgan of Fairmont; and his loving adoptive families of Gary (Paula) Shundry and Danny (Linda) Johnson.
