Helen Arnold Moore, 91, of Fairmont, passed away on (Jan. 6, 2014), at Fazio’s Eldercare in Monongah.
She was born on Nov. 8, 1922, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Corda Allbright Arnold. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mark Moore, of Fairmont.
Mrs. Moore worked at Westinghouse for 15 years and retired from Stone and Thomas Department Store after 13 years of employment as a clerk. She was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church and a former member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she served as pianist for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Kathy Starrett and her husband Doug of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Guy Hamilton Starrett of Charleston and Paige Allison Starrett of Fairmont; a sister, Carolyn Sessions of Grafton; a brother, James Arnold of Grafton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Bunner, Frances McDaniel and June Satterfield, and a brother, Charles Robert Arnold.
The family would like to thank Cora Fazio and her wonderful staff for their kindness, compassion and love, while caring for Helen.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, on Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Friday, from 11 a.m. until noon. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at noon, with Pastor Jeff Mayfield officiating. A graveside service will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
