Betty Lee Hoult, 88, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Oct. 14, 2012) at the Tygart Center in Fairmont.
She was born Jan. 19, 1924 in Fairmont, daughter of the late Harlen Watkins and the late Hazel (Swisher) Watkins Smith.
She is survived by one son, Randy Hoult and wife Kim of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren, Lindley Hoult Walker and husband Brooks, and Caitlin Hoult; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Riley Walker; a cousin, Margaret Biafore; a niece, Janice Cosco; and several other nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Danny Lee Hoult; six brothers, Charles, James, Richard, Glenn, Paul and Edward Watkins.
Betty was a treasured mother, grandmother and friend to many. She supported many West Virginia politicians over the years by volunteering and working on campaigns for the Democratic Party. She was formerly employed by Sauro’s Dry Cleaning and retired from West Virginia ABCC. Catherine was a member of the VFW No. 629, the Fairmont Moose and the Democratic Women’s Club.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Duane Stiles.
