Fredrick E. Bell, 73, son of John F. and Edna O. (Shrader) Bell, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday (March 14, 2013).
He was born on April 18, 1939, in Cassville in Monongalia County.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Virginia R. Mitchell Bell. They were married on Dec. 26, 1960. Mr. Bell is the brother of Richard W. (Dick) Bell and wife Jacqueline of Eastlake, Ohio, and John F. Bell Jr. and wife Jackie of Core.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy A. (Bell) Brady, and is survived by one brother-in-law, Claude Brady of Arlington, Va.
He is the father of three daughters, Vicki B. Jennings and husband Mark Jennings of Cooksville, Md., Penny D. Lindamood and husband Scott Lindamood of Parkersburg, and Jill R. Steele and husband Jeff Steele of Fairview; and one son, Fredrick E. Bell Jr. and wife Brandy Bell of Bridgeport. He is the grandfather to Chad and Nicolette Jennings, Bethany, Derek and Nathan Stemple, Alexis and Ashley Steele, and Andrew and Olivia Bell.
Mr. Bell was a volunteer fireman with the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of Westside United Methodist Church of Belington.
Friends and family may call at Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel in Fairview, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. J.J. Johnson, Pastor Joe McCartney and Pastor Judy Flynn officiating. Interment will follow at the Haught Chapel Cemetery in Fairview.
