John “Turtle” Miller

John “Turtle” Miller, 52, of Shinnston, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1, 2014) at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.

He was born in Fairmont on Oct. 17, 1961, a son of Carolyn Moore Miller and the late Clark Miller.  

He is survived by his wife, Becky Stuttler Miller, whom he married Dec. 30, 1995. Also surviving are two children, Julia Miller and Megan Miller, both of Tennessee; two grandchildren; one sister, Janet Miller of Fairmont; one brother, Eric Miller and his wife Melisa of Martinsburg; and his nieces and nephews, Matt, Laura, Samantha and Christian.  

He was a parts salesman for Morgan Auto Parts in Fairmont. He was a veteran, having served the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. John liked WVU football and basketball. He enjoyed camping, the beach, and spending time with his family and friends.

Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Brent Gallagher officiating.   • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
