John “Turtle” Miller

— John “Turtle” Miller, 52, of Shinnston, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1, 2014) at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.

He was born in Fairmont on Oct. 17, 1961, a son of Carolyn Moore Miller and the late Clark Miller.  

He is survived by his wife, Becky Stuttler Miller, whom he married Dec. 30, 1995. Also surviving are two children, Julia Miller and Megan Miller, both of Tennessee; two grandchildren; one sister, Janet Miller of Fairmont; one brother, Eric Miller and his wife Melisa of Martinsburg; and his nieces and nephews, Matt, Laura, Samantha and Christian.  

He was a parts salesman for Morgan Auto Parts in Fairmont. He was a veteran, having served the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. John liked WVU football and basketball. He enjoyed camping, the beach, and spending time with his family and friends.

Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Brent Gallagher officiating.
