Enid Jeannine (Long) Wright, 80, of Shinnston, went to be with the Lord Sunday (March 30, 2014) at her residence.
She was born May 26, 1933, a daughter of the late Lester S. Long Sr. and the late Julie Pearl Higginbotham Long. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert Eugene Wright Sr.
Surviving are her children, Robert Wright Jr. and his wife Lois of Shinnston, David Wright and his wife Linda of Lumberport, and Timothy Wright and his wife Tomma, Brenda Moore and her husband Danny, and Tammy Mackey and her husband Kenneth, all of Shinnston; 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one brother, Denver Long and his wife Laurie of Monongah; two sisters, Donna Mackey and her husband Charles of Warren, Ohio, and Brenda Mackey and her husband Mike of Four States; five sisters-in-law, Amie Long and Shirley Long of Monongah, Tammy Long of Four States, Peggy Wright of Shinnston and Ruth Pushinsky of Erie, Pa.; and one brother-in-law, Larry Yanero of Four States.
Three brothers, two sisters, five brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, one grandson and one daughter-in-law also preceded her in death.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the garden, cooking and picking berries.
Friends may call the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike, Shinnston, from 3-8 p.m. today, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Aaron Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Enterprise.
