Diana Hudson

Diana L. Hudson, 64, of Fairmont, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away Sunday (April 7, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

She is survived by her son, Detective Eric P. Hudson and wife Katie, and granddaughter Sheridan of Fairmont. She is also survived by sisters, Brenda D. (Donald) Greathouse of Weirton, Annette M. (John) Diddle of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Michelle L. Chaney of New Cumberland; and a brother, Joseph J. (Donna) Hoder of South Amboy, N.J.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois McIntyre Chaney; her birth father, William M. Britton; her adoptive father, Joseph J. Holder; and her brother, Michael K. Hoder.

Diana was a member of New Cumberland Christian Church and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Fairmont. She was a member of the VFW Post 3526 Ladies Auxiliary in New Cumberland. She graduated from Oak Glen High School in New Cumberland and retired from the State of West Virginia after 29 years’ tenure, having last worked at Weirton Job Service.

Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, with services in the funeral home at 3 p.m. with Elder Don Greathouse officiating.

The family requests memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Inc., 1406 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
