Mary Campbell

Mrs. Mary Catherine Campbell, 78, of Tamarac, Fla., died Saturday (April 6, 2013) in Tamarac.  

Mrs. Campbell was born in Fairmont and was a former resident of the Mississippi gulf coast before moving to Florida.  

She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Campbell, M.D.; and her parents, William and Mary Catherine Grottendieck.  

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Peek of Travelers Rest, S.C.; son, Keith (Kim) Campbell of Sunrise, Fla.; brother, William J. Grottendieck III of Glenville; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Matthew and David Peek.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi, Miss. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
