Ronnie Hall Shackelford, 75, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday (June 26, 2013) at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 11, 1937, a son of the late Ashford and Lou Amy Shackelford. He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Rosalie Sindledecker Shackelford.
Mr. Shackelford worked as a foreman for the B&O Railroad and also served in the Navy. He enjoyed coaching the Crossroads baseball team and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ronnie was also a motorcycle enthusiast.
Ronnie is survived by a son, Ronnie Shackelford and his companion Deliah Horne and her son, Devon, of Morgantown; a daughter, Shelby LeMasters and her husband Thomas of Fairmont; a brother, Greg Shackelford of Barrackville; four grandchildren, Angela Everhart, Angela Smith, Vanessa Echols and Rhianna LeMasters; four great-grandchildren, K.J. Danner, Layah Myers, Aundrea Echols and Aaliyah Echols; as well as several nieces and nephews, including Steve Shackelford of Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Sindledecker Shackelford, and a brother, David Shackelford.

In accordance to Mr. Shackelford’s wishes, cremation services were chosen as the mode of disposition.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, on Monday at noon to travel in procession to the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown for a committal service with military rites conducted by the Taylor County Honor Guard.
