Christopher “Bambino” Watt Z. Huffman, the infant son of Rodney F. and Melissa S. (Colanero) Huffman, passed away Thursday (Sept. 19, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by five siblings, Samantha, Chaz, Chase, Iszabella and Jessica; maternal grandparents, Phillip Colanero of Morgantown, and Glenna Colanero of Monongah; paternal grandparents, Richard Watt and Dorothy Huffman of Monongah; his great-grandmother, Goldie Farley of Hinton; aunts and uncles, Diane “Aunt Dee” Wilson and fiancé Mike Prunty of Everson, and Deanne “Aunt Dee Dee” and husband Mike Broscious of Monongah, Richard Huffman of Mannington, Roger Huffman and wife Kim of Monongah, and Tom Huffman and wife Toni of Monongah.
Christopher was baptized on Sept. 18.
He leaves behind his Godmother, Erin Waddell of Farmington, and his Godfather, Michael Ahouse of Monongah. He is also survived by his German Shepherd, “Rommel Fox.”
Christopher was named after and preceded in death by his uncle, Christopher Huffman.
Rodney and Melissa would like to express their sincere appreciation for the doctors and nursing staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital. They also want to thank everyone who helped make it possible for them to enjoy Christopher throughout that precious week they had with him. Christopher gave a very special gift of life in that short period of time to his mother and father. He made them smile, laugh and cry. Christopher’s love, which they shared together, was the greatest gift of all.
The family will receive friends at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Father Richard Ulam, O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monongah.
Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., in Fairmont, is in charge of the arrangements.
