— Mrs. Wanda M. Dalton Malone Ray Harvey, 84, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Sunday (Oct. 27, 2013) in Steubenville.

She was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Jeff and Desi Dalton Malone.

Harvey attended Smithfield High School and was a domestic engineer. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the deaconess board, a member of the women’s ministry and of the Tuesday night Bible club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Desi Dalton Malone; an uncle, Denzil D. Dalton, who helped raise her; one brother, Murthel Malone; two stepsons, David Payne Ray and Daniel Harvey; and her first husband, Eugene H. Ray.

She is survived by her husband, William Harvey II of Steubenville; one son, Denzil Booney Ray of Steubenville; two daughters, Linda (Willie) Clayton of Fairmont and Mary Katie (Lewis) Smith of Steubenville; six stepsons, Gerald Harvey (Gwen) of Levinsworth, Kan., Hugh W. Harvey of Springfield, Mo., Tony Harvey of Pensacola, Fla., Shawn Harvey of New York, William Harvey III (Leah) of Steubenville and Russell Harvey (Chasity) of Greencastle, Ind.; and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Friends and family may call from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church. The service will be at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Calvin McLoyd Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vinson House of Mortuary.
