A former co-owner and operating partner of Golden Brothers Department Store has returned to Madison Street one last time.

Harry T. Golden, 88, of Fairmont, passed suddenly from this life Sunday (Oct. 27, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.

He was born in Altoona, Pa., on April 21, 1925, the only child of the late Israel and Bess Levine Golden.

While at college he became a member of the Phi Sigma Delta Fraternity. Upon his return to Fairmont in ’48 he began his career in the family business, Golden Brothers Department Store, which he and his cousin Jack became co-owners and operating partners of until its closing in 1979.
