Rosalie Audia, 78, of Star City, died Wednesday (Oct. 30, 2013) at the Pierpont Nursing Center in Fairmont.
She was born May 4, 1935, a daughter of the late Alex and Barbara Arso.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, and retired after 35 years with Davis and Lynch Glass Co.
Rosalie was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, John Audia and spouse Stephanie of Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Karen Logan and spouse Robert of Cheat Lake, and Kimberly Hambrick of Ripley; two sisters, Helen Pulice of Idamay, and Mary Louise Champlin of West Covina, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Brock Wolfe, Matthew Hambrick, Alex Hambrick, Hannah Townson, Megan Townson, John Audia and Morgan Audia; one great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Azar; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore “Butch” Audia; two brothers, John Pulice and Frank Pulice; and five sisters, Sally Garcia, Katherine Johnson, Marry Rizzo, Rose Salucci and Barbara Spotts.
Friends may call Dering-Henson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father John V. DiBacco as celebrant. Entombment will be in the St. Mary’s Peace Mausoleum.
