Gary Richard Lake, 77, of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away May 18, 2014, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a long illness.

He was born in Fairmont on April 8, 1937, the son of the late Lester Leonard Lake and Marie Hinzman Lake.
