Glenn Moore

Glenn Ford Moore, 58, of Clarksburg, passed away Monday (June 16, 2014) at United Hospital Center following an extended illness.

He was born in Fairmont, on June 21, 1955, a son of the late Herbert Linear and Gwendolyn Moore-Sanders.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cheryl Helsley Moore, whom he married July 19, 1991.

Also surviving are two sons, Tyrone Robert Moore of Fairmont and Glenn Michael Moore of Morgantown; five daughters, Ja’Nean Valentino and husband Nicholas of Fairmont, Tyra Lynn Moore of Fairmont, Aalyiah Williams and Deziree Williams, both of Fairmont, and Santana Moore of Clarksburg; eight grandchildren, Kevin Blanks, Raven Moore, Tyrone Moore Jr., Jaden Moore, Kahlil Moore, Amirah Moore, Ma’Jestee Moore, Dominick Valentino; one goddaughter, Krista Pride; three brothers, Thomas Allen Sanders of Charleston, Charles Sanders of Fayette County and Thomas Michael Gilbert of Clarksburg; two sisters, Sharon Terry and husband Dennis of Fairmont and Marsha Sanders of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one brother and one sister.

Glenn attended the Clarksburg Church of God, was a former member of the Elks Club and past president of the Magnificent Souls Motorcycle Club of Fairmont.

Family and friends may call at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St., Nutter Fort, from 2-4 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home to conclude visitation with Pastor Ramona Woods and Thomas Payne presiding.

Per his request, he will be cremated.
