Freda Nicholson

— Freda Mae Nicholson, 82, of Cleveland, Tenn., formerly of Fairview, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 22, 2014) at Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter of the late Robert Childers and Opal Bennette Campbell.

Survivors include her children, Janet Caldwell and husband Dan of Tennessee, Donna Gunter and husband Jim of Tennessee, Karen Hamilton and husband Mike of Tennessee, Gary Nicholson and wife Tammy of Fairview, and Debbie George of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Heather Fels, Jason Nicholson, Jeremy Nicholson, Justin Nicholson, Steve Nicholson, Brandon Hamilton, Brent Hamilton and Nicholas George; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Nicholson.

Family and friends may call at Domico Funeral Home Curry Chapel, Fairview, Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Curry Chapel with the Rev.   • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
