Sherri Farris

Sherri Elizabeth Farris, 46, of Maxon Camp Road, Volga, passed away Wednesday (March 20, 2013) in United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

She was born Aug. 16, 1966, in Marion County, daughter of Gerald Stout of Fairmont and the late Betty Rowan Stout.   

Mrs. Farris was a Protestant by faith. She was very active in youth activities and various school functions.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Farris of Volga; three sons, James Clinton Stout, Cody Jearl Farris and Jesse Dean Stout, all of Volga; a brother, Joseph Wayne Stout of Fairmont; and a sister, Vilynda Kay Stout of Fairmont.

Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor Andy Miller officiating. At the family’s request, cremation services will follow at a later date.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
