Albert Good

Albert H. Good, 94, of Latrobe, Pa., passed away Wednesday (April 2, 2014) at Greensburg Care Center.

He was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Bouquet, Pa., a son of the late Harry E. Good and Pearl E. (Fenton) Good.

Albert was the retired owner and operator of the former Latrobe Refrigeration Service Co., and after his retirement, he worked at Mullen Refrigeration for 23 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Albert was a member and Past Master of Loyalhanna Lodge No. 275, Free and Accepted Masons, Latrobe, The Tall Cedars of Lebanon, life member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Coudersport Consistory, American Legion Post No. 515, VFW Post No. 3414, B.P.O. Elks No. 907, the former Touchdown Club, a charter member of Cooperstown Veterans & Sportsmen, and a member of Mullen’s Holy Name Bowling League. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseshoe pitching. Albert was also an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.

Besides his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Elizabeth (Walker) Good; his second wife, Hildegarde R. (Stauffer) Good; two sons, Lester A. Good and William R. Fiorini; two brothers, Howard and Elmer Good; and three sisters, Anna Mae Walters, Eva Pearl Maines and Edna Hopkins.

He is survived by a son, Gregory A. Good and Lynn Sobolov of Takoma Park, Md.; two daughters, Jessie A. Good of Fond Du Lac, Wis., and Wendy Parr of Tamworth, Australia; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 515 and VFW Posts No. 3414 and No. 444 at 11 a.m. today at John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, to be followed by funeral services. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery.
