Aaron Lee Snider, 34, of Fairview, passed away Saturday (July 27, 2013) in his residence.
He was born Feb. 26, 1979, in Fairmont, son of Steve and Dianne “Hatcher” Snider of Barrackville.
Aaron was a member of Washington Street Church of Christ in Fairview. He was a graduate of North Marion High School in 1997, being a member of the “Notables.”
Aaron attended the West Virginia School of Preaching and preached at Barrackville Church of Christ, Oakwood Road Church of Christ and Daybrook Church of Christ, totaling 12 years of service. He currently was employed at Parco Propane in Fairmont. Aaron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter Macy Joy. He enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and riding with his dad. He loved bluegrass music, Barbershop Harmony, and playing the guitar at family gatherings. Aaron very much enjoyed studying the Bible.
Additional survivors include his wife and daughter, Jamie and Macy Joy Snider of Fairview; his father and mother-in-law, Ben and Cathie Haught of Fairview; his sister and her family, Stephanie and her husband Andy Miller, and their children Lacy, Talon and Stephen Miller, all of Millersville Community; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Natalie Haught, and their children Holly and Bennet Haught, all of Parkersburg; and two grandmothers, Joyce Hatcher of Cleveland, Ga., and Rachel Snider of Barrackville.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Aubra E. “Jake” Snider and Relma “Lee” Hatcher.
Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, from noon to 4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10-11 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with Evangelist Michael P. Reese officiating. A family committal service will follow at a later date in Barrackville Cemetery in Barrackville.
