Wilbert Holley

Wilbert Holley, 69, of Jubilee Lane, Fairmont, passed away early Thursday morning (July 4, 2013) in his residence.

He was born Nov. 29, 1943, in Barbour County, son of the late Earl and Virginia Lance Holley.

Mr. Holley was a member of Boothsville United Methodist Church. He retired from Corwin Ford of Mannington as an auto body repairman, with 40 years of service. Mr. Holley truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed camping trips at Smoke Hole. He enjoyed West Virginia University football.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Jean Holley of Fairmont (married 47 years); one son and his wife, Chad and Kathy Holley of Fairmont; two daughters and their spouses, Cecilia and Todd King of Fairmont, and Misty and Daniel Worth of Fairmont; four grandchildren, Kaylyn and Kinslee Holley, Cara King and Lauren Worth, all of Fairmont; two brothers, Ray Corder of Wana and Earl Holley Jr. of Buckhannon; and two sisters, Betty Jean Hoy and Joan Glasspell, both of Boothsville.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Austin Holley, and one brother, Robert Holley.

Mr. Holley has chosen cremation services. Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. today at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Richards officiating.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wilbert Holley Memorial Fund, 72 Jubilee Lane, Fairmont, WV, 26554.

Sam was born on Nov. 13, 1920, in Fairmont, the son of the late Vincent and Maria (Galiano) Pellerite. He was the loving husband of the late Teresa Mae “Terry” (Cirillo) Pellerite.
