Linda Ice

Linda Ellen Ice, 60, of Catawba Community, Fairmont, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2014), at the Rosewood Health Care Center in Grafton, following an extended illness.

She was born in Fairmont on Dec. 31, 1953, a daughter of the late Steve Eli J. and Betty Lucille (Keener) Harbert.

Linda was a loving and devoted homemaker and wife. She was a 1972 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She enjoyed attending yard sales, hunting and fishing. She was a very caring and giving person and was always there to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Krag Ice of Catawba; two brothers, Mark Harbert and his wife Karen of Fairmont, and Stephen Douglas Harbert and his wife Marsha of Fairmont, three sisters, Sharon Huffman and her husband Don of Monumental, Penny E. Benkiel and her husband Mark of Washington, Pa., and Ginger Harbert of Fairmont; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mark Benkiel officiating. Interment will follow at Catawba Cemetery in Marion County.
