Paul Robert “Bob” Jordan, 69, of Sun Valley, Clarksburg, went to be with his Lord on Friday (July 12, 2013).
He was born Aug. 16, 1943, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Paul Wesley Jordan and Virginia Wilmoth Jordan.
Paul was employed for more than 22 years with Mylan Pharmaceutical in Morgantown, having recently retired and settled in to an enjoyable retirement life. He was a faithful member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church, and recently rededicated his life to the Lord.
He was a graduate of Shinnston High School and a West Virginia University sports enthusiast. Paul enjoyed working in his garage, his Kubota tractor, basketball, his dog Sophie and history, enjoying trips to the Gettysburg battlegrounds. Bob was friendly and never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judith A. Freeman Jordan; a daughter, Jacqueline Jordan Carr and husband Roger of Grant Town; four stepchildren, Tammy J. Willey and husband Joel of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Charles Moody and wife Tina of Raleigh, N.C., Carrissa Brewer and husband Michael of Colorado, and Ambra Vance and husband Chris of Clarksburg; eight grandchildren, Shelby Carr, Whitney Reese, Tiffany Moody, Madison and Grant Brewer and Kirsten, Kelsey and Kinley Vance; and his good friend, Jim Pratt.
Friends may call at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church at Swisher Hill today from 3-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. with Pastors Tim and Ted Shuttlesworth officiating. Mr. Jordan will lie in state from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
