Moran Marie Green, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (June 9, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.
She was born in Plattsburg, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George G. Green; her son, George G. Green II; Mildred I. Thornton, her mother-in-law; and a brother, Carl Latour.
Moran was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Walt Green of Fairmont, and Michael Green and his wife Stacy of Fairmont; a daughter-in-law, Lori Green of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Krisitna and Leanne Green, Andrew Green, Mollie Cain, and Madison and Kennedy Green; and one great-grandchild, Lucy Cain.
Also surviving are her lifelong companion, William Hanning; three brothers, Philip, Harvey and Leonard Latour of New York; two sisters, Mary Stone of New York and Sally Poulton of Florida; and also a lifelong friend, Eloise Mallen.
There will be a small memorial service at Walnut Grove Church on East Grafton Road at 5 p.m. Sunday. Friends and family are welcome to attend this service.
