Raymond Bice

Raymond Bice, 82, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday (July 27, 2013) at the Tygart Center Fairmont Campus.

He was born on Nov. 6, 1930, to the late Clyde W. Bice and Daisy P. Griffin Bice.

Raymond is survived by his sisters, Joan Toothman of Fairview, Betty Burnett of Shinnston, and Norma Jean Smith of Searcy, Ark.; a brother, Everett Bice of New Martinsville; and grandchildren, Clyde Willis “Willie” Bice and wife Sarah of Wallace, and Maggie Marie Bice of Shinnston.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded by his loving wife, Thelma Polis Bice; son, Raymond Allen “Buddy” Bice; daughter in-law, Mary Radabaugh Bice; brother, Lawrence Bice; and sisters, Lenora Pyles, Thelma Enoch, Mary E. Harris and Dorthy Hartley.

At his request, there will be no services.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
