Edna Wagner

Edna Mabel Wagner, 79, of Fairmont (Boothsville Community), passed from this life Friday evening (June 6, 2014) at Ruby Memorial Hospital, following a fall.

She was born in Fairmont, on Oct. 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel Fancher Hanning.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Boothsville Baptist Church. In her younger years, she was a farmers’ daughter and worked right alongside of her brothers. She had also worked at the G.C. Murphy Co. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading her Bible and listening to gospel music.

Mrs. Wagner is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Floyd Gilbert Wagner Sr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Edward Palmer of Grafton; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Paul and Debbie Wagner, Floyd G. Wagner Jr., and Johnny Dale Wagner and his companion Regina Roseberry all of Boothsville; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Jess and Charlotte Hanning, Joseph and Josephine Hanning, and Katherine Hanning all of Fairmont; also five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Erma Mae and Tom Miller; and three brothers, Robert and William “Bill” Hanning and Raymond Fancher.

Friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont, Monday from 10-11 a.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Orville Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the Clermont cemetery.
