— Alexandra “Alice” Borys Kendjoria, 91, of Fairmont, died Friday morning (Jan. 24, 2014), at her residence.

She was born on May 8, 1922, at Francis Mines, daughter of the late John and Rose Mortsea Borys.

Alice retired from Miami Coal Co. as a bookkeeper. She also previously worked at Golden Brothers and Westinghouse. She also was a driver for Meals on Wheels, and served as a juror twice in Judge Merrifield’s court. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, where she was involved with the Prayer Circle Ministry.

She served as a former past president of the Fairmont Knitting Cub, and was a fantastic oil painter.

Alice is survived by one son, William and wife Elizabeth Kendjoria; two daughters, Janice Rose Ranieri, and Alexandra “Alex” and husband Brian Ganoe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Barrett Kendjoria, Holly (Phillip) Caston, Christopher (Berry) Ranieri and Kimberly (Scott) Farmer; great-grandson, Nicholas Paul Ranieri; and great-granddaughter, Abigail Farmer.

She is survived by one brother, Albert and wife Arlene Borys; and a sister, Genevieve Gresh.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Kendjoria in 2001; one brother, John Henry Borys; one sister, Virginia M. Borys; and grandson, Michael Paul Ranieri.

In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, Alice has chosen to be cremated. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
