Ted Snider

Ted Lee Snider, 49, of Davisburg, Mich., and formerly of Fairmont, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Feb. 2, 2014.

Ted Lee was born the son of Terry “Ted” Snider and the late Glenna (Whitecotton) Snider on October 17, 1964.

In addition to his beloved father, he is survived by three beloved brothers, Arnold “Buck” (Christine) Snider, Ikey Snider and Dana (Lynette “Pete”) Snider, all of Michigan. He is also survived by three beloved sisters, Terry (Steve) Gorman of Grant Town, Debbie (John) Rowan of Fairview and Cathy (Chuck) Piercy of Philippi; three beloved cousins, Dean Snider, Gale Eugene Snider and Sheila Radcliff.

He was loved and cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, and many great friends, including his best friend of 38 years, Mark Wright of Millersville.

Ted Lee was a HVAC technician at Matheson’s Heating and Cooling. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and camping. He spent several years as caretaker to his brother, Ikey, with whom he made his home. He also took great pride in caring for his beloved dog, Andrew Lloyd Webber Snider “Andy.”

Services were held at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home in Waterford, Mich., on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, with Pastor Chris Doak officiating. Mr. Snider wished to be cremated.

In addition to his mother, Ted Lee was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rena (Miller) Snider and Lutzie Snider of Millersville; his maternal grandparents, Alexander and Bertha Whitecotton of Fairmont; his beloved cousin, Gale Eugene Snider of Michigan; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial bonfire is being planned as requested by Ted Lee at the home of Mark Wright in Millersville in the summer.
