Dorothy May “Dot” Flick, 69, of Creston, Ohio, passed away Friday (Feb. 21, 2014) at her home that she shared with her faithful and loving companion and caregiver, Billy E. Dobbins.
She was born Oct. 7, 1944, in Painesville, Ohio, and spent her life enjoying helping her friends and family. She was a volunteer firefighter for Baxter Volunteer Fire Department in Baxter, and had also worked at the Times West Virginian as an inserter until moving back to Ohio in 1993. Dot enjoyed playing bingo, and dabbled in arts and crafts in her spare time. She was a loving and devoted mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her six children, 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: son, Michael and wife Michelle Flick, grandchildren, Michael Flick Jr., Kameron Bester and Jayden Flick and great-grandchildren, Michael A. Flick and Paris Bester; daughter, Susan Flick, grandchildren, Daniel Quinones Jr., David Quinones, William Quinones, Brett Mominey and Rachel Lynn Mominey and great-grandchildren, Dominic Quinones and Elaine Quinones; son, Joseph Flick; daughter, Frances Flick and grandchildren, Thomas Clark Jr., Belle Clark, Bervia Clark and Harley Clark; daughter, Dorothy and husband Larry Hibbs, Jr., granddaughter, Patricia Hibbs and great-granddaughter, Sophia LeeAnn Caswell; and son, Edward Flick; and three brothers, Jerry Bosworth, Dave Bosworth and Jack Bosworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Grant Wellman and Neva Elizabeth Sweet; and a brother, Herbie Wellman.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, Ohio, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
