Brenda Collins

Brenda Darlene Collins, 61, of Fairmont, died Thursday (Sept. 19, 2013) at the Pierpont Center in Fairmont.

She was born Jan. 26, 1952 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late William Daniel “Danny” and Juanita Wolfe Loudermill.

Survivors include her husband, Harry L. Collins of Fairmont; three sons and daughters-in-law, Stacey Lee and Monica Collins, Fairmont, Chad J. and Jennifer Collins, Moundsville,  and Steven J. and Jamie Collins, Bowling Green, Ky.; grandchildren, Cory, Amanda, Zack, Miranda, Chad J. II, “C.J”, Isaac, Jerrica, Nevaeh, Brandon, Brittany, Kylee, Tatianna, Alysha, Robert T. and Alexia; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh and Carter; siblings, Valjean (Loudermill) Haught, Barrackville, and William “Danny” Loudermill Jr. and wife Donna, of Helens Run; nieces and nephews, Balinda Schwartz, Paul Haught, Earl R. Haught Jr., Shawn Loudermill and Rebecca Carpenter.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Pauline Collins Sr., and a sister, Linda, who died in infancy.

Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington today from 4 to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Farmington.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
