Michael Lucas

Michael Donn Lucas, 50, of Jesses Run Road, Fairview, passed away Wednesday (June 19, 2013) at his residence.

He was born in Lorraine, Ohio, on Aug. 5, 1962, son of Deloris (Peg) Parrish of Rivesville and Donald Lucas of Buckhannon.

Mike enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family and friends. He had a special gift, which he loved, from crafting to remodeling and new construction. He had previously worked for Fairview Furnace.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wayne (Jiggs) Parrish and his nephew, Jeramy Cosner.

In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by a son, Dylan Tyler Lucas of Carolina; a daughter, Brandi Lucas; and grandson, Austin Morris, both of Pennsylvania; a sister, Robin Cosner, and nephew Cadence Cosner of Rivesville; brother-in-law, Richard Cosner of Westover; a niece, Haley Cosner and her companion Michael Mitchell; a great-niece, Kloey Cosner; aunt, Sharon Fetty; uncle, Edward Fetty; aunt and uncle, Pam and Marlin Lucas; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel, in Fairview from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 10-11 a.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael Lucas Memorial fund: c/o Robin Cosner, 222 Chunks Run Road, Rivesville, WV 26588.   • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
