Mary Ellen Dietrich Cummings, 90, resident of Wheeling, died Saturday (Dec. 1, 2012) at the Carriage Inn, Cadiz, Ohio.
She was born June 8, 1922, in Fairmont, the daughter of the late Ernest Frederick and Phyllis Ora Watkins Dietrich.
She was a Marion County teacher’s aide and a member of The Baptist Temple, Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Cummings Sr.; a son, John Cummings Jr.; and a brother, Frederick Dietrich.
Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Baker and her husband Randy of Wheeling, and Nanette Hall of California; sisters, Martha Larson and Mary Ellen’s twin sister, Liz Sturm; and grandchildren, Chad Hill and his wife Angie, Matt Hill, Dusty Hill, Jordan Baker, Adam Baker and his wife Jennifer, Anthony Baker, Amanda Baker and Jeffrey Cummings.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Baptist Temple, 430 Morgantown Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554 with Dr. Holley Faulkner officiating, with a luncheon to follow at noon.
