— Alberta Virginia Conaway, 94, formerly of Pumpkin Center, passed away Thursday (July 4, 2013) at Pleasant Acres Christian Haven.

Alberta was born April 18, 1919, at Pumpkin Center, daughter of the late Onen Herbert Villinger and Della Marie (Darrah) Villinger.

Alberta was a homemaker, devoting her life to her family and the family farm. She was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ for 81 years.

Survivors include a son, Terry Conaway and wife Linda of Thompsons Station, Tenn.; a sister, Rose Marie Ware and husband William of Fairview; a brother, Jimmy Villinger of Cedarville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer Huffman and husband Shane, Gregory Conaway and wife Chrissy, Melvin Bess and Chrystal Acuff; and six great-grandchildren, Olivia and Noah Huffman, Austin and Jayden Moody, Colton Conaway and Kason Conaway.

In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Jarvis A. Conaway, and a sister, Catherine Johnson.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel, Fairview, today from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Evangelist Peter Ray Cole officiating. Burial will follow at the Benefield Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Darrell, John, Dwight, and Robert Conaway, Joe Adams and Charlie Ross.
