Kevin Lee Turner

Kevin Lee Turner, 50, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Jan. 5, 2014) at his residence.

He was born May 28, 1963, the son of Lois Maronee Gower Turner of Pleasant Valley and the late Richard Foster Turner.

Mr. Turner was a 1981 graduate of East Fairmont High School and retired after 23 years as a bus driver for the Marion County Board of Education. He was currently employed by Central Supply Co. in Shinnston.

Kevin was Methodist by faith and loved riding his Harley Davidson with his family of friends. He was always big-hearted, and supported the less fortunate and his neighbors in need. Kevin was also an avid WVU fan.

Mr. Turner is survived by two daughters, Kayla Jo Turner of Fairmont and Kelcie Rae Turner of Montana Mines Community; a grandson, Reese Mayle of Fairmont; several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends; his fiancé, Joyce Toothman of Fairmont; and his former wife, Kim Turner of Montana Mines Community.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the family and sent to 1610 Garner St., Fairmont, WV 26554.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, Wednesday, from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rich Buonaiuto officiating.   • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
