Irene B. Moscufo, 86, of Idamay, died Friday (April 26, 2013) at her son’s residence in Jasper, Ala.
She was born March 13, 1927, in Sparks, Md., a daughter of the late Earl and Okie Ruth Barker Farmer.
Mrs. Moscufo was the wife of the late Rev. Joseph Moscufo for 51 years. Together they pastured various churches in the Assemblies of God, including Calvary Temple at Swisher Hill, and participated in many missionary works throughout the world. She was a graduate of Northeastern Bible Institute and was a current member of Trinity Assembly of God Church in Fairmont.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Giovanni “Gino” and Karen Moscufo of Idamay, Timothy Irving and Christine Moscufo of Jasper, Ala., and Steven Craig and Kandy Moscufo of Fairmont; seven siblings, Grace Miles, Thelma Lockmiller, Sylvia “Babe” Thomas, John, Steve and David Farmer, and Nona Barker; seven grandchildren, Giovanni, Alec, Ceira Moscufo, Angela Moscufo Lawrence, Steven Moscufo, Eric Louden and Travis Louden; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Farmer, and a sister, Virgie Cave.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of the service, with the Rev. Dr. Frank J. DePolo officiating. Entombment will be in the Floral Hills memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Quiet Dell.
