Charles “Junior“ Waitman Miller Jr., 54, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Fairmont, passed into the arms of our Lord on Monday (March 17, 2014) in Florida.
Junior was born on June 7, 1959, in Fairmont. He is the son of the late Charles Sr. and Virginia Nixon-Miller.
He was a longtime resident of Florida, where he enjoyed the construction trade, deep sea fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Even though he lived in Florida for many years, Junior always called West Virginia home.
Junior leaves to cherish his memories his longtime companion and fiancee, Kim Webb; his sons, Daniel of Louisiana and Josh and daughter-in-law Tracy Miller of Virginia; five grandchildren, Chloe, Blake, Joshua Jr., Ashton and Haley; six brothers, Bob, Roger and sister-in-law Fonda, Jack, Jimmy and sister-in-law Brenda, David and Billy; three sisters, Thelma and his late brother-in-law Dale Stanley, Carolyn Stewart and Barbara Walton, all from West Virginia; also, as he would call them, his extended family from Florida, Kim’s mom Betty and her sisters Kelly, Lori, Rita, Tina and Treva. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including some very special great-nieces and -nephews that thought the world of their Uncle Junior.
Junior was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Jo Miller; three brothers, Danny Ray, Lewis and Steven Miller; one sister, Nancy Miller. Also to greet him on his journey, his brother-in-law, Dale Stanley; his nephew, Bradley Stewart; and niece, Angel Miller.
A small viewing was held March 21 in Florida.
A memorial and celebration of his life will be held on June 7, in Fairmont, at which time his ashes will be brought back to West Virginia. More information will available closer to the date. If you have any questions feel free to contact Cathy Sawyer at 304-694-2919 or Misty Stewart at 304-290-7400.
